State Agronomy 2012.
Wednesday, March 21, 2012 nine members of the Garfield-Palouse FFA Chapter made their way to the Washington State University campus to participate in this years’ State Agronomy Competition. Team One, which consisted of members: Derrick Bosch, Missy Johnson, Cassie Thompson, and Wyatt Mitchell took home a third place plaque for their chapter. Where as Team Two for Garfield-Palouse received fifth place with participants: Sarah Bofenkamp, Jesse Lopez, Mickaila Martin, and Jon Kuehner. Taylor Redman volunteered to be the alternate for Gar-Pal, but could have easily succeeded on either team. High scoring individuals included both Derrick Bosch and Sarah Bofenkamp each with a score of 335 putting them in eighth and ninth place, and Missy Johnson taking tenth with 328 points. Through various aspects of the competition Garfield-Palouse FFA held their own, from tests to identification sections and a team activity, each member did their part to contribute to the overall success of the chapter.
