PALOUSE SCHOOL DISTRICT #301 & GARFIELD SCHOOL DISTRICT #302

JOINT MEETING - THURSDAY, MAY 31, 2002

The Garfield school board and the Palouse school board meetings were called to order at 8:00 p.m. by Garfield School Board chairman Mike Cronk.

Present: Garfield board members Mike Cronk, Warren Neal, Jill Palmer, Roger Pennell and Craig Cochran. Palouse board members Mike White, Jerry Schwartzman, John Leendertsen, Kent Keller and Paula Echanove. Also Present: Superintendent Beverly Fox. Guests:  Debbie Anderson, Phil Weagraff and Cindy Kimberling

Phil Weagraff shared the staff input from the interview sessions.

Cindy Kimberling shared her views of the candidates from showing them around the facility during the day.

The meeting entered into closed session for discussion of the candidates.

The regular meeting reconvened at 8:55 p.m.

Jerry Schwartzman moved to offer the position of Garfield Elementary and Garfield-Palouse Middle School Principal to Chris Lupo. Kent Keller seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Craig Cochran moved to offer the position of Garfield Elementary and Garfield-Palouse Middle School Principal to Chris Lupo. Roger Pennell seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

There being no further business the joint meeting was adjourned at 8:56 p.m
