The Garfield regular Board meeting was called to order at
7:05P.M.
Accounts Payable: General Fund Vouchers: 36559-36622
Warrants: 43194-43257 in the amount of $49,718.87
ASB Vouchers: 800-804 warrants: 800-804 in the amount of $2,991.79
Payroll: Warrants: 43093-43152 in the amount of $86,681.89
It was moved by Ken Renstrom and seconded by Jill Palmer to approve the consent agenda including the minutes of the August meeting. Motion passes.
Superintendent LaMunyan read the financial report to the
Board.
Mr. LaMunyan will update the Joint Board on the gym ceiling repair.
With there being no further business the meeting was called to recess at 7:15.

Palouse Board Chairman, Kent Keller, called the meeting to order at 7:15PM.

Payroll: Warrants 30333-30397 in the amount of $121,956.01
Resolution #123 has been stricken from the Palouse agenda and added to the Joint meeting.
John Leendertsen moved to approve the consent agenda including the minutes of the August meeting. Mike White seconded the motion. Motion passes.

Regular Joint Meeting
September 29, 2005

Board Chairman, Craig Cochran, called the Joint meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
Superintendent/Principal Bill LaMunyan asked that letter E be added to the Consent Agenda.(Resolutions #110 & 123) The Principals’ Report was added as item A and all other items were moved down one item.

Resolution #123 and Resolution #110 which allows oncoming Board members to attend the WASDA conference.
It was moved by Mike White and seconded by Ken Renstrom to approve the Consent Agenda.
Superintendent/Principal Bill LaMunyan read his Principal’s Report to the Boards. He stated that Open House was well attended this year. The Middle School has started the magazine fundraiser, with the final day being held October 12, 2005. Mr. LaMunyan also reported that our MS gym should be ready for occupation on Monday, October 10th, 2005.
Superintendent/Principal Bev Fox read Mr.Heeg’s Principal Report to the Board. Mr. Heeg’s report included upcoming Homecoming events.
Superintendent/Principal Bev Fox reported that the Elementary candy sale, under the supervision of Mr. Iverson, has begun.
The 2005 WASL/ITBS results for both schools were shared with the Boards. These scores can be viewed on the OSPI website.
A copy of the 2004-2005 Performance Report was handed out to all Board members. A copy of the Performance Report will be on the school website as well as copies available for viewing in both school offices.
Enrollment reports for both Garfield and Palouse were shared with the Board.
A copy of the FFA schedule has been given to the Board members. A copy of the 04-05 SIP Progress Report for Garfield and Palouse are included in Board members packets. A copy of the 05-06 Palouse SIP Goals went out to Palouse Board members.
Discussion about creating a committee to start looking and planning for what our schools will look like in the upcoming years was held. No decisions were made at this month’s meeting. It will be added to next month’s agenda.
A court date of October 5, 2005 has been set for the upper gym lawsuit.
Superintendent/Principal Bev Fox encouraged the Board to attend if possible.
